CHOIR OF THE EARTH

Fiori are honoured to have been invited to join forces with CHOIR OF THE EARTH in a project that they are embarking on to record the Monteverdi’s Marian Vespers of 1610.  Founded by Mark Strachan (who was awarded the British Empire Medal in the 2022 Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for services to musicians), CHOIR OF THE EARTH are a unique choir, drawing together singers from all corners of the world to perform and record glorious choral works under the expert tuition of their artistic director Ben England (who was awarded the British Empire Medal in 2021 by the Queen in recognition of his services to choral singing during the pandemic).

Fiori Musicali – Meet the skipper

Fiori Musicali
When it comes to Fiori Musicali Penelope Rapson is the person in the know. Penelope is director (she keeps everyone in line) and founded the classical group in 1983 after studying music at Oxford. She's a clever bunny and as I know pretty much nothing about classical music, we had a chat so I could swot up!

Take a trip to Castle Ashby to celebrate high summer!

Fiori Musicali play concertos from baroque greats Vivaldi, Handel and Bach – in the ancient church of St Mary Magdalene 28 July 2013. To celebrate high summer, Fiori will delight you with a performance of music from the high baroque (a phrase to describe music from the latter years of the baroque period 1600-1750) in their annual summer concert in the beautiful estate church at Castle Ashby.
