Candlelight Concert for Advent
JS Bach and his close circle

An atmospheric Advent Candlelight concert,  performed in the delightful village church at Pattishall, dating back to before the Norman Conquest and recorded in the Domesday Book.

Beautiful 18th-century music for baroque oboe and trumpet with voices and organ, including chorale preludes by the great JS Bach, as well as music by his  rarely heard contemporary Georg Kauffmann (Bach’s rival for the post of Capellmeister in Leipzig) and his pupils Ludwig Krebs and Gottfried Homilius.

Hauntingly beautiful, reflective music for the season before Christmas. Do join us for this special evening.
