UP THE GARDEN PATH

2 fabulous concerts in the offing this July.

Coton Manor Gardens continues our ‘garden’ theme – with an exciting programme of Moravian baroque music entitled Trumpet in the Garden at 4.30pm on Sunday 13 July. A chance to visit these wonderful Northamptonshire gardens and combine your visit with stunning music in the courtyard. There’s also the option to enjoy a superb picnic tea  (specially supplied by Zest Caterers)

Then on Sunday 27 July Fiori are back in the idyllic churchat Castle Ashby for our popular high summer concert, this year featuring Bach’s Brandenburg concerto no. 4. The romantic Italian gardens at Castle Ashby with their topiary and orangery are the inspiration for an intriguing alternative portrayal of Summer from the Four Seasons – not by Vivaldi this time, but by his rarely heard Italian contemporary Giovanni Guido, as well as Uccellini’s Sinfonie Boscarecie – a nod to the arboretum and parkland of this heavenly venue. The nightingale also makes a passing appearance in the music of Italian early baroque composer Merula.
