Fiori Musicali take a trip to yet another stunning location this Sunday 11th August to mark 30 years since their founding. And what a show you can expect!
Fiori are renowned for their expertise in baroque and classical music. You’ll find Fiori’s Chamber Orchestra, Choir and special guest soprano Grace Davidson performing more recent works from one of the maestros of classical music, Mozart.
Grace is a favourite with Fiori, not only for her beautiful soprano voice (highest female vocal range) but amazing presence whilst performing. You’ll see exactly why on Sunday. Stay tuned for an interview with Grace here on Fiori Journey later in the week!
And as if there weren’t enough stars in that line-up, wait till you hear about the location…
Fotheringhay
We’ve all heard of Mary Queen of Scots and Richard III, but have we heard of Fotheringhay?
It is a village steeped in history, found to the north-east of Northamptonshire near Oundle. If you’ve been interested in the recent car park discovery in nearby Leicester and War of the Roses drama, The White Queen, you might like to know that it is the birthplace of Richard III. It is also the place where Mary Queen of Scots was beheaded in 1587 at Fotheringhay Castle.
Although the Castle no longer remains, the grand church of St Mary & All Saints stands proud and will provide the setting for Fiori’s performance. This occasion is a favourite with fellow Fiori Fans and promises to be a wonderful evening. You can also enjoy a meal at the Falcon Inn with Fiori after the concert (£30 extra).
