Bonfire night with a difference

Who doesn’t love Bonfire night?

Forgetting the allegations of torture and the whole Gunpowder Plot (basically everything associated with it), I love Bonfire Night. It reminds me of the firework displays I went to as a child, wrapped up in at least 100 layers, whooshing my sparkler around to spell my name with the light, the smell of hotdogs and the sound of classical music drifting through the crisp cold air to stir the senses.

This Bonfire night you can celebrate with a difference. Fiori will be up at Boughton House on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th November as part of the Boughton House spectacular.

As some 2000 people make their way to Boughton for the evening’s explosive celebrations, Fiori (dressed in Jacobean costume) will be setting the scene, performing well known music from around the time of the Gunpowder Plot.

And it doesn’t stop there. You can find out about Boughton’s (and Northamptonshire’s) link with the Gunpowder Plot while you’re there!

Happy Friday!
