Angel Voices

To mark the 90th birthday of the celebrated Estonian composer Arvo Pärt a programme that interleaves the expressive sound of unaccompanied cello with inspired music by JS Bach, whom he so much admired.  

A fascinating  journey from the middle ages to the present, via the towering figure of JS Bach – beautiful choral works by Tavener, Rovetta & Hildegard of Bingen, performed by the transcendental voices of the Fiori Choir with popular cellist Poppy Walshaw.
